North Country Subaru continues to be a VERY generous supporter of the
Under the Woods Foundation.
We would like to THANK them, from the bottom of our hearts, for choosing the
Under the Woods Foundation
to be one of the local charities they sponsored in 2021!
CAMP UNDER THE WOODS LOCATION:
Camp Little Notch, Ft. Ann, NY
August 23rd-27th 2021
PLEASE READ CAREFULLY
Camp this summer will be called Camp Under the Woods and will be held August 23rd -27th for children entering First Grade to children 15 years of age.
We will be at Camp Little Notch (CLN) in Fort Ann Monday-Thursday and then have a Carnival Day on Friday at 413 Bay Road in Queensbury. There will be more information about Carnival Day once we have an idea of how many campers we have.
Under the Woods Foundation must abide by the Policy and Procedures set forth by Camp Little Notch and NYS Health Department regarding Covid 19.
As you are all aware things change often and if this is the case, we will make the necessary changes to comply.
•All staff and campers will have a health check upon arrival to include temperature checks.
•All staff will wear face coverings.
•All campers will wear face coverings with the exception of meal/snack time and while swimming. Breaks will be offered to campers.
•Staff will wear gloves during mealtimes.
•Staff will ensure appropriate social distancing is kept to the extent possible.
•Hand washing/hand sanitizing completed upon arrival and before eating.
•One person to a bus seat unless from the same family.
•Campers will need to have their own lunch/snack (extra drinks and individual prepacked snacks will be available).
•All activity areas will be cleaned after the use of each activity.
•All Campers will stay in their assigned groups.
We know this has been a very different and challenging year for children and families. Please know we want to do everything we can to keep everyone safe during our camp time.
It is very important that campers can comply with the above stated requirements. If they have not had experience with wearing face coverings for extended periods of time and hand washing throughout the day, then camp this year may not be a good option. We encourage you to call us to discuss your child’s ability to participate at camp.
This year all families will be called once their child’s application is reviewed by our Staff. The purpose of our call is to identify any challenges that may arise at camp and strategies to best support our campers for a fun week.
